....I kid you not peeps. Four- FOUR - rejection letters in 2 days....*sigh*. 3 from Fiction Feast and 1 from Woman's Weekly for my short stories. Ah well onwards and upwards. I've got a few more to send out this week hopefully - so you never know.
PC seems to be behavin' itself (fingers crossed) so I'm back in blog land. But saying that I'm trying to cut down - I've done very little writing recently. My mojo seems to have taken a holiday and I need to kickstart her by concentrating of getting words on paper so to speak. Caroline x
Hugs for the Rs Caroline. They are rubbish, aren't they? But on the other hand well done for getting them out there in the first place. It's all to easy to just let them languish in a drawer somewhere. Give them a little tweak and send them on their way again.

Ooops clearly I mean 'all too easy'. Ahem!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your rejections Caroline, but keep at it and I hope you find your mojo soon!
ReplyDeleteHugs,Caroline. Keep the faith and do keep at it (did I tell you that my short story sells were prior Rs with tweaks). Yes not sold many but the ones that did had sat on computer for at least a year apiece. I think there's a learning curve there. Tweak it and pack it's week bag up again for an adventure. Fingers crossed re the pc, j
ReplyDeleteThat should've been wee bag (tired, so tired)
ReplyDeleteOh hugs, Caroline, nasty horrible R's :-(
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the next lot you send out.
Sorry about the Rs Caroline! Good luck with the next lot you send!
ReplyDelete((hugs)) on the 'R's. TAB is a horror to crack, as is WW. It's their loss!

Thanks David, Rachael, Judy, Joanne, Lacey and amanda for stopping by and giving me cyber hugs - much appreciated I can tell you. Luv Caroline x
ReplyDeleteCaroline, commiserations on your Rs. One is hard enough but four in two days - well that's just wrong! Nice to have you back in blogland and understand completely about getting the word count up. Best of luck with your mojo!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, Caroline!! You sound like you're getting on with it though. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I've had so many Rs in my time. And even from 'friends' within the business, after I'd already been widely-published. Sigh. It never ends.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Never forget, a R is only one person's individual opinion. The next person you target may love it, so brush it off and send it back out again. Though I'm sure that's exactly what you are doing.

Thanks Elissa, Jackie and Jane! Much appreciated. Caroline xx
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the rejections - they never get any better.
ReplyDeleteNo Colette they don't - but to be honest I've grown a thicker skin! I remember my 1st one - total devastation. Now? Well it's a shrug of the shoulders and file them away! Caroline x
