What'da get for Christmas?......

....Hope it was what you wanted.

I did! DH brought me a Kindle. Just the bog standard one - that's all the technology I can deal with! But it's enough! I LOVE it!! I didn't get a chance to play with it on Christmas Day - way to busy cooking and looking after guests and flying around all over the place. But since then I've downloaded and read the following:

Lethal - Sandra Brown
The Perfect Concubine - Michelle Styles
One Perfect Night - Rachael Johns
Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen (quarter of the way through) and
Dracula - Bram Stoker (not yet read) - but I downloaded it 'cos it was free!

I can see I'm going to have to keep a reign on how much I'm spending - but my excuse is that they are a lot cheaper than buying a hard/soft copy from the shops. And I'm also going to have to keep an eye on the reading - I can see it stopping me from writing! Hey ho - see ya. Caroline xx

  1. Yay on the Kindle and especially on reading One Perfect Night. Thanks!! I hear ya on it sometimes being a choice between reading and writing. I've hardly done any reading lately cos of the writing and it's depressing me!

  2. Hi Rachael - thanks for stopping by! Keep writing if I was you. I love your book and can't wait to read the next one. Caroline x

  3. Lucky lady! I hope you have a great 2012 too, Caroline!

  4. And you too Lacey! Love Caroline x p.s and thanks for all your hard work doing NV this year.

  5. I love my Kindle. Over 600 books on it and none of them gathering dust - great stuff.

Much love to you and your family and wishing you a peaceful 2012.

    Suzanne XX

  6. Good for you Caroline - they're very addictive but in my view great. Saves on bookshelves! Enjoy - you're allowed to indulge your gadget a bit til novelty wears off!

  7. And best of all, the books don't take up space and don't collect dust! I know you'll have lots of fun with your new toy this year. Best wishes for an incredible 2012.

  8. Hi Suzanne, Judy and Romy - thanks for stopping by! I'm still in love with my Kindle. Wow Suzanne - 600 books - now that's a serious book addiction - I've got a long way to catch up with you - but what fun in trying! Caroline x
