......
1. Got a "R" from Take a Break - Fiction Feast for one of my short stories. 3 still out there tho' so fingers crossed.
2. Is it me - but is there general apathy out "there" at the moment? A lot of my blog pals seem to be finding it very "hard" at the moment. My creative well has dried up at the moment - so I'm plodding on with edits - it's about all I can manage!
Back into the cave now. Bye! Caroline x
Hi Caroline! what a day to venture out of the cave, don't know what you're weather's doing but here its raining, raining and more raining. :(
ReplyDeleteCommisserations on your R, but there's plenty more out there, so I bet there'll be a 'yes please' in a couple of days!
Hey Caroline, great to see you've popped out of the bat cave. Sorry to hear about the R - rotten luck. But am keeping everything crossed for the stories still out there.

Sorry to hear about the R. I hate them booo but they will make way for the acceptances I know you will get.
ReplyDeleteI am finding it hard to get organised with the novel and always struggle to stop procrastinating and start a new shorty but one I get going its hard to stop.
Oh commiserations on your R but I think you're right on the apathy. I'm feeling VERY disheartened and I know some of my CPs are as well. Just not sure if we've got what it takes :)
ReplyDeleteHugs on your R Caroline! x
ReplyDeleteJoin the club!! Hugs on the R. But I'm another that's finding everything very difficult. Mid year woe? Let's all have a giant party with chocolate martinis all round. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi girls! Thanks for stopping by! Glad to see I'm not the only one with, as Jackie says, the "mid year woe". I like that. Sums me up precisely!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Caroline.
ReplyDeleteAs for the apathy - all I can say is hang on in there and KEEP GOING! Perseverance is key, even on days when you don't feel like doing a thing :o)
Summer writing drought? I failed to get that pitch at eHarl, and am having to do huge amounts of rewrites on my Tudor novel, but maybe it's just the sticky part you have to negotiate before the plain sailing. That's what I'm hoping, at any rate. :)
ReplyDeleteSwings and roundabouts, you know ...
Jx
Hi Caroline. Soon you'll get an acceptance and this will all be in the past.
ReplyDeleteBtw, I have an award for you over at mine-
